Hello!
LATEST NEWS
Staying in touch in 2021
Like many employees up and down the country, several of the YORhub team are following government advice and working from home during the national lockdown. As much as we look forward to being able to meet our clients and partners face-to-face again, we are still easy to reach in the meantime by email or video call to offer advice and guidance with our frameworks and added value initiatives.

Contact details and short bios of all key team members can be found on our website's Contact us page. Get in touch with the framework manager for your area or, if you're not sure who is the right contact, email us at info@yorhub.com and we'll get back to you.

We look forward to hearing from you.
Welcome to our new Joint Chair of Operations
From January we welcome Dean Backhouse as Joint Chair of Operations (West area).

Dean leads the legal team in Procurement and Commercial Services at Leeds City Council and brings specialism in all aspects of the procurement process and the Public Contracts Regulations.

See Dean's bio on our Contact Us page.

Construction Playbook
The Construction Playbook was published in Dec 2020, setting out Government's vision for the successful procurement and delivery of public works.

YORhub is delighted to have contributed to this strategy as a member of the Construction Playbook Steering Group and will offer updates on further developments through our monthly newsletter.

Maximising Social Value
Sixty-five attendees took part in our webinar on 19th January which looked at YORhub's experience of how to maximise social value through construction procurement. We described the considerations that need to be taken into account when selecting and using a social value calculator to measure and improve social value outcomes.

If you missed the opportunity to attend the session a copy of the slides may be downloaded from the link below.

Framework contractor and consultant survey
We are in the process of surveying our ca. 100 contractors, consultants plus their supply chains to find out how they are dealing with Brexit, Covid, modern slavery and cyber attacks. This will enable us to assist them and advise our clients.

We expect to be able to bring you the results in our March newsletter.
SOCIAL VALUE
Dementia-friendly memory garden
To tie in with this month's webinar theme of social value we are featuring a community project delivered by Esh in partnership with YOR4Good. The garden, delivered for Worklink in Cottingham, provides those living with dementia with a comfortable space to relax and reflect on past memories. It will benefit not only service users but also their families and visitors for years to come.

Find out more about the project at the link below.
