168,904 lives have been lost to COVID-19 in the US as of today. Making textile tributes for them will help survivors begin to heal, help us all grapple with the enormity of our losses, and ensure that our friends and loved ones are remembered for eternity.
Sample tributes and complete creation and submission guidelines can be found on the Pandemic Banner Project webpage. But, in brief, tributes should be 9” wide by 7” high and constructed using one or more textile techniques, including (but not limited to) sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet, felting, applique, printing, painting, and weaving. Individual tributes will be assembled into banners at the SEFAA Center.

Blanket Love Project
We are still collecting people blankets for Mercy Care's Recuperative Care Program and pet blankets for LifeLine Animal Project. Choose any textile techniques and any materials to make your blankets. Just make sure they are washable and durable. People blankets can be afghan size to twin size and pet blankets should be 14" square, 24" square or 36" square. The more blankets we make, the more warmth and joy we can share!
For more information or to schedule blanket delivery, please email Kim Wall, Project Coordinator.

SEFAA Center Update:
The SEFAA Center will remain closed until new COVID-19 cases have been decreasing for at least 14 days. When we do open, we'll be cleaning the Center after each use and asking you to adhere to new SEFAA Center safety protocols. Read up now and come prepared for the changes. Most importantly, mask wearing will be mandatory inside the SEFAA Center.
