3rd Grade Bible Gifts this Weekend

3rd Grade Bible Distribution: November 16 & 17
 We will have our annual Bible Distribution for all 3rd grade children during worship on November 16 & 17. There is no need to RSVP.
 
We joyfully share this good news with our children; and, as they grow in their reading abilities we want to equip them to grow in the faith as we receive it from the Scriptures.
Family Care Support Group Meeting

Thanksgiving Day Worship

All ages invited to sing with choirs on Christmas Eve
ADULTS & YOUTH
Looking for a meaningful way to celebrate Advent and Christmas this year? Consider joining the Christmas Eve Choir! It is a weekly way to bring your focus back to Christ during a hectic season. All adults and youth 16+ who are interested in singing on Christmas Eve are welcome to participate. The Christmas Eve Choir will sing at the 4:00 PM and 6:30PM worship services on Tuesday, December 24.

CHILDREN
Did your kiddo miss the first rehearsal? That's ok! There is still time for all children in grades K-5 to rehearse to perform on Christmas Eve in a costumed performance of the Christmas story.

Special Guest Speaker from Hope & Resurrection School in South Sudan!
Sunday, December 8, 12:15 PM

Deborah Awut Mayom, 2011 graduate and current School Administrator at Hope and Resurrection Secondary School in Rumbek, South Sudan, will make a special visit to Christ Church on Sunday, December 8, 12:15 PM. The entire community is invited to hear Awut speak, and it will be a special treat for Christ Church members who have supported the school since its inception.
Youth Ministry Updates

Don't miss Youth Groups & Small Groups this Sunday. Bring your food donations for our collection. We’ll be joined by a FeedMore representative to learn more about their service to RVA.

Set aside some time to prepare for Advent
December 13, 10:00 AM-3 PM, Roslyn Retreat Center

All are invited to an Advent Quiet Day at beautiful Roslyn Retreat Center on River Road. Prepare for the coming of Christ, utilizing the practices of The Way of Love . The schedule includes two short meditations led by Sara Vale, quiet reflection times, free time, lunch, and the day will close with the Eucharist. What a wonderful opportunity to prepare ourselves before the Christmas season begins.
