Dear Cradle of Liberty Council Scouting Family,
The Executive Committee of the National Council, Boy Scouts of America (BSA) met earlier today and voted to increase the National Council annual registration fee for youth and adults, effective January 1, 2020.
The new National Council registration fees are as follows:
- $60 for youth members in Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Sea Scouts
- $36 for youth members in Exploring
- $36 for adult members (includes cost of background check and Scouting Magazine)
- $60 for unit charter fees
As I shared with you in my message on October 18,
the Executive Board of the Cradle of Liberty Council has voted to subsidize the national registration fee increase amount for those members who are renewing their current registration during this charter renewal period.
This means that every youth and adult who is renewing their registration with the BSA for 2020 will only need to pay the current $33.00 national registration fee (along with the $2.00 council accident and sickness insurance fee), and the Cradle of Liberty Council will subsidize the balance for the 2020 charter renewal period. This subsidy also includes the $20 increase in the national unit charter fees for the 2020 charter renewal period (currently $40 per year per unit).

To make this subsidy work with the current national registration system, it is vitally important that your unit completes its charter renewal accurately and on-time. The Internet Recharting system will open on November 1 and we ask all units to complete the process and submit the necessary paperwork by
