At the Annual Parish Meeting following the 10:30 AM mass on this Sunday, November 17, Saint Andrew's will be voting to fill three vestry positions (three 3-year term positions), one partial term vestry position (one year), one diocesan convention delegate (4-year term), and one diocesan convention alternate (3-year term). Below are the names of candidates nominated by the Nominating Committee along with photos and brief bios.

Erin Culbertson
Erin Culbertson is a native of Greenville, SC, and has been a member of Saint Andrew's for several years. During that time, she has served on the Stewardship Campaign Committee, volunteered with the Rebuild Upstate projects, served as a lector at the 10:30 mass, attended the Congregational Life Initiative on behalf of the parish, and is currently serving on the Mission/Vision/Values Task Force. Outside the church, Erin is an attorney, practicing real estate law in the firm of Kehl Culbertson Andrighetti, LLC, along with her husband and fellow parishioner, J.J. Andrighetti. J.J. and Erin have a son named Ethan and a dog named Sophie. Erin graduated from Christ Church Episcopal School, Furman University, and the University of South Carolina School of Law. She may be the only person you know with a degree in Latin. In no particular order, Erin loves dogs, books, wine, Greenville, jazz, and her people.
Ethan Cashwell
Ethan first attended Saint Andrew's in 2012. He was confirmed in 2015 and was married to his wonderful wife Chloe in 2016, both at Saint Andrews. He currently serves in the altar party. He is in his third year working for the Pickens County Library System, where he leads library programs like Roberts Rules Made Simple and the Ramblers Walking Club. He has a passion for helping organizations make good and fair group decisions, and planning events that bring communities together in fun and creative ways. Saint Andrew's has meant the world to him, and he considers it an honor and privilege to serve his church in any capacity.
Cheryl has been married to her college sweetheart Ken for 30 years. They have two boys who are both in college. Harris, the eldest, is a senior at Presbyterian College majoring in music. The youngest, Cooper, is a civil engineering major as a sophomore at Clemson. They love to hike, camp, and travel. Cheryl works as a Literacy Specialist at Sue Cleveland Elementary in Piedmont. She has taught kindergarten, first grade, and third grade for 21 years. She is a cradle Episcopalian, serving as an acolyte, vestry member, Rector Search Committee member, VBS coordinator, Godly Play teacher, Diocesan Delegate, and Sr. Warden over the last 30+ years. She currently serves as a lector. The Banks family moved from St. Alban's in Lexington three years ago. When Cheryl attended her first service at Saint Andrews, she knew this was her new church home. She would be honored to serve the church as a vestry member.

Joseph has been a member of Saint Andrew's church since 1999. He and Connie were married at St. Andrews in 2000. He has served on the vestry under Fr. Upton and Fr. Garland. Joseph serves as thurifer for the 10:30 AM Sunday mass and is also on the columbarium committee. He retired from health care architectural practice in May of this year and is now involved with consultation on residential renovation projects. Joseph looks forward to serving on the vestry and helping Saint Andrew's church continue the ministry and service to the community.

Ellen Mays
Ellen Mays has attended Saint Andrew's for 21 years. She lives near downtown Greenville and has a 12 year old daughter, Mary Banton. She works in in public health, currently in acute disease reporting and investigation. Ellen loves to travel, and her last trip was two weeks hiking an ancient pilgrim path called St. Olav's Way in Norway. She has served many roles in our parish including vestry (2 terms), one year as Sr. Warden, lector, children's Sunday school teacher, search committee member (also twice), flower guild, altar guild, and, once upon a time, she was even a choir member. Ellen and Mary B are happy to call Saint Andrew's their church home and all of you their church family.
NOMINEE FOR CONVENTION ALTERNATE (ONE 3-YEAR TERM)
Dick Stanley
Dick Stanley (Robert Richard Stanley) was born and raised in Greenville, SC, a
cradle Episcopalian, baptized by The Reverend Alexander Mitchell, at St. James parish in 1944.
Dick was confirmed at Christ Church Greenville in 1956 or 1957. He attended boarding school at Christ School, Arden, NC for 9th and half of 10th grades, where (if nothing else), he developed an abiding love for the High Church. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1961, with a class rank of 492 out of a class of 501. He matriculated briefly, with two semesters plus two summer semesters of non-distinguished education at Furman University. Then, on to service with the US Army from 1962-1968. He ultimately earned a BS (1971) and MBA (1972) at USC.
Dick has been married since 1965 to Inge Herbst in St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Bad Cannstatt, Germany. They have two children, two sons-in-law, two grandsons, and two granddogs. Dick retired to Greenville in 2000, after a career as a Hospital CEO in various locations around the US.
Since coming to St. Andrew's in 2000, Dick has served as a lector and headed up the stewardship campaign one year. He was a member of the search committee which ultimately resulted in our convincing Father Gary Eichelberger that we were the right parish for him to shepherd.
