Sonoma County Grape Day is an annual program presented by University of California Cooperative Extension (UCCE) that provides research-based information on issues important to the production of coastal winegrapes.
TOPICS include the effects of smoke taint on fruit and wine composition, vine performance in nematode infested site,
preemergence herbicide programs, Pierce's disease
epidemiology
,
and impacts of leaf removal and fruit dropping on ripening and vine physiology.

Grapevine Production Short Course

Plan to join us for this integrated vineyard management short course featuring UC faculty, Cooperative Extension Specialists and Farm Advisors, and USDA researchers who will provide an in-depth, comprehensive study of all phases of grapevine culture and production.
The program is based on the latest information and research and will cover the fundamental principles that form the basis for practical decisions and include Q&A for each session, quality time with instructors and networking opportunities.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
New and experienced growers as well as other industry members interested in commercial grape production.

This three-hour class is for Agriculture business owners, their workers who may be permitted to enter Mandatory Evac Zones to care for their property and animals during an ongoing disaster, and, other Ag industry workers who may be called upon by Incident Command to assist them.
Class covers basic safety and situational awareness in Wildland and WUI fire, flood/slide and earthquake incidents. Additional training is required for those interested in joining a Community Animal Response Team (such as Sonoma CART or Napa CART).
Enrollment is open to: 4-H and FFA, members of ag organizations, agricultural business managers and workers, teachers, or anyone interested in being safer during and after a disaster.
Class is taught by
State of California Fire Training Instructors.
TUITION: FREE Coffee and snacks provided.
