News and information for St. Francis of Assisi School
September 1, 2020
September 1, 2020

Dr. Erin Barisano, Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Orange, requested that we send this announcement to all of our families today, updating everyone on school reopening.  With new information coming out daily, I believe hosting parent meetings tomorrow evening will help clarify and answer the following questions:
  1. Where is St. Francis at with the waiver process for Kindergarten through 6th Grade?
  2. What does the new Blueprint for Safer Economy mean for school reopening?
  3. Does the watchlist even exist?
  4. What will the first week of school look like?
  5. What will the teacher meet and greets entail?  How long will we be on campus?
  6. Is childcare available during virtual learning?  During hybrid learning?
  7. As a parent, am I allowed on campus?
  8. What updates have been made to our reopening plan since it was first published?
  9. What precautions have been taken to keep my child(ren) safe?
  10. What will the transition look like moving from virtual to hybrid model?  How will this be communicated to us?
Please join me tomorrow night on Zoom meetings where I look forward to answering these questions.  My goal is to provide more peace of mind after spending some time together.  We are strong, prepared, and ready for this new school year!
