Theater
Made in Maine

MARK TWAIN is an American treasure who captured iconic and unforgettable Southern characters and landscapes.  But did you know he wrote a comic story that takes place in medieval Germany?

That story is the basis of our next show, The Secret Princess, the latest musical from MK Wolfe & Thomas Adams (The Freaks Club, The Sock Who Lost His Mate).

Coming this April, experience a hilarious, naughty, tuneful world premiere musical comedy where you'll become part of the show, since we'll ask you to vote on how the show ends!

Don't miss The Secret Princess!

Sincerely,

The Secret Princess
makes its world premiere debut!

In the duchy of Klugenstein in 1221, young Duke Conrad has a terrible secret - since birth, he has been disguised as a boy by his scheming mother, even though he - she! - is really a girl.  Hilarious romantic complications ensue, and the ultimate outcome for Conrad and those he/she loves depends on the audience, who must vote to decide not only Conrad's fate but also who gets the girl - or guy!

The Secret Princess is a funny and tuneful world premiere musical comedy  based on a Mark Twain short story.  Don't miss this gender bending, naughty medieval musical romp where a surprise ending is guaranteed!

Said just a few of our audience members:
  • SO many great moments in Omniphobia!
  • A profound and amazingly well executed production! Just WOW!
  • Excellent show! (Applause emojis!)

Omniphobia, a multimedia collaborative creation, explored the topic of fear in contemporary society and featured episodic and razor-sharp comic vignettes woven together with a heartfelt story of the redemption of love.  Thanks to the amazing cast and crew (pictured below) for a spectacular experience for all!

Snowlion Rep teams with
Acorn Acting Academy!

Starting in January 2020, Snowlion Rep has teamed up with the Acorn Acting Academy to offer acting classes based on our unique modular system of classes covering all the aspects of acting technique.

Al D'Andrea, Snowlion Rep's artistic director, is currently teaching "IMAGINATION AND INSTINCT: The Spirit of Acting Technique" and will be offering a new class beginning Tuesday, March 17 and running for 7 weeks:

ACTION and OBJECTIVE: The Heart of Acting Technique

Learn to be COMPELLING and POWERFUL in this exploration of the engine that drives the actor's performance and the heart that makes its core...ACTION & OBJECTIVE!

Students will take an in-depth look at two of the most important elements of the actor's work in creating a role in a play. A variety of games, exercises, improvisations, and scene work will explore "what the character wants" (objective) and "what the character does to get what s/he wants" (action).

Many influences on Action and Objective will be explored, including given circumstances, location, character, emotion, and justification.  The work is based on the teachings of stage legend Stella Adler, with whom teacher Al D'Andrea studied extensively.

The workshop is ideal for experienced actors who seek to master their understanding and use of these central elements of stagecraft. Beginning actors will receive a strong foundation in these critical elements of performance which are often not emphasized in traditional acting classes. The class is open to all ages 16 and above.
