Give today and expand beautification

When life gave us lemons, the Village became a great place to dine, shop and stay safe.
Reimagine Magnolia Village project expands with your support. Phases II & III are on!
If you have been in Magnolia Village over the summer, you’ve experienced a whole new vibe and energy. Even though we have all been challenged by the impacts of the global pandemic, the Village is more alive with families, groups of friends, and thankful visitors who have beautiful places to enjoy the new streetscape improvements. And, our local small businesses have customers who can dine more safely, meet outside with friends and families, and shop in comfort.
It’s all because of donors like YOU who invested in the Reimagine Magnolia Village project to beautify and improve the quality of life in our neighborhood.
Join us again. Phase II and III of the five phased beautification project is in full swing. With your support, you will help protect the Magnolia trees and pedestrians with the application of Porous Pave along with repairing some of the sidewalks on the north side of McGraw from 33rd to 35th Avenues. And, we will expand the sturdy tables, chairs, benches and new poles with flowering baskets to the same block.
Now is the time to invest. With your donation today, the momentum picks back up and together, we will make all of Magnolia Village THE best and safest place to shop, dine, and engage.

Gifts that keeps on Giving – Purchase Magnolia Commemoratives and Support the Reimagine Magnolia Village project
Thanks to Modele’s, Magnolia Village’s consignment furniture, accessories, and gift store, the Reimagine Magnolia Village project has a great way to raise money AND you have a great gift giving option.
Owner Deb Bluestein worked with a local Seattle artist to make decorative, high quality paperweights, framed and unframed prints, post cards, and note cards showcasing a charming depiction of Magnolia Village that features the new bistro tables and hanging flower baskets.
Modele’s is exclusively selling the Magnolia Village commemoratives: No other store is selling these unique gifts. All profits go to the Reimagine Magnolia Village project, including Phases II and III, which will expand the streetscape improvements on both sides of McGraw from 33rd to 35th Avenues.
The one-of-a-kind, Magnolia Village commemoratives are already flying out the door. Hurry to Modele’s to buy one or two (or more!) of the items. You and your friends, family, and neighbors will truly enjoy these special and home-spun décor and correspondence pieces. With the holidays right around the corner, you will be giving THE gift in 2020.
Deep appreciation to Deb and Modele’s for supporting the Reimagine Magnolia Village project as well as local artists and the creation of these distinctive and matchless Magnolia Village commemoratives. Thank you!

For our Fur Friends - Fun Streetscape Improvements
A big tail wag of thanks and happy barking in appreciation for the efforts of Inga Wiens.
Inga wanted to be sure the doggies of Magnolia feel the benefits of the Reimagine Magnolia Village project, just as their humans do. She purchased six red water bowls that are strategically placed next to the new bistro tables, benches and flower baskets and poles on McGraw between 32nd and 33rd Avenues.
Hopefully all the businesses will help keep the water bowls filled so our canine pals can enjoy. Paw pump to Inga.

Memorial Benches – Great way to Give and Remember
There are many ways to give to Phases II and III of Reimagine Magnolia Village project. One of the more meaningful ways is to purchase one of the green benches that will be located along McGraw between 33rd and 35th Avenues.
A BIG thank you to those who have already purchased a bench and memorial plaque, including the Blue Family, Michael Olden, Dee Henderson/Joan Caine/Cheryl McQuiston in Phase I and to the Magnolia Beautification Committee (MBC) and Daniela and David Eng in Phase II and III.
If you would like purchase your own bench and memorial plaque, please contact Cheryl McQuiston, MBC Chair at 206-390-8698 or email at cheryl.aaml@gmail.com

Seattle Department of Neighborhood Grant for Phases II and III
As we seek donors to support Phases II and III of the Reimagine Magnolia Village project, the MBC is busy preparing to apply for a $50,000 grant from the city of Seattle’s Department of Neighborhoods. In 2019, we were successful in securing a matching grant of $25,000 which was put to great use in Phase I of the five phased project.
The new Department of Neighborhood grant seeks to support streetscape improvements along McGraw from 33rd to 35th Avenues. We will match the city grant with contributions from the Magnolia community whether as volunteer time, donated materials, donated professional services, or cash gifts. We will keep our supporters posted as we make application in the weeks ahead.
