Happy Easter! Easter is what our ministry is all about. The Death and Resurrection of Christ are at the very heart of the Christian faith. For us at Nazareth Evangelical College, the resurrection of Christ is the reason that we are persevering in order to equip and train future leaders, men and women, that they might be able to share this message with Christians, Muslims, and Jews in the Land. Our Easter greetings in the Holy Land is, يسوع قام Jesus Is Risen, this is the message of hope that we share with the people. We want to thank each one of you for being part of supporting and praying for the NEC ministry. Beginning of a New Semester The courses we are offering this semester include The Gospel of John and Proverbs with Dr. Yohanna, Isaiah with Pastor Nabeel, and more featured below. The First In-Person Class Pictured above is Christian Ethics MA course with Dr. Rula Mansour which began on March 29, 2021. It is a blessing to begin our studies again in-person. Leadership Training for Evangelists Dr. Yohanna Ketanacho is teaching a course on leadership based on Proverbs for a group of local evangelists. Equipping the Refugee Community Nabeel is teaching the Gospels on Zoom to a group of Muslim background believers who are leaders in the refugee community. Upcoming News: We are finalizing the research on Arab Evangelical churches in Israel, a project that we have been working on since 2019. The report will be released soon and we will keep you updated in our coming newsletters.

The Beauty of the Holy Land After this year's winter rains the usual transformation of the land occurred. Praise God that this year as the restrictions eased many were able to go out and enjoy the beauty of the Holy Land at this time of the year. The picture above was taken of the Sea of Galilee from Mt. Arbel by Flora.  Come and See Us Although the borders are still not open to tourists and most foreigners we want you to know that we miss having our brothers and sisters in Christ from around the world come and visit us. Rev. Azar Ajaj recently took the picture above of the entrance leading up to NEC. We look forward to hosting groups again in the future who want to learn about our community, visit the college, or join our International Studies program. God willing we will be able to see you soon!

Rev. Dr. Nabil E. Samara "Hello, I am a professor at Nazareth Evangelical College. I graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary with DMin in Church Leadership and Ministry (2007). My dissertation titled Applying Narrative Preaching in the Palestinian Church. My focus in teaching is practical theology. I teach Preaching I & II, Leadership, Christian Worship, Leadership Spiritual Formation, and Church Administration. In addition, I teach Biblical classes such as the Pentateuch (the Five Books of Moses), Isaiah, Synoptic Gospels, IBS, Mark and more. Besides my passion for teaching, I lead a home church movement ministry in Galilee and the West Bank. I live with Sana, my wife, and my children Janan, Elias and Layan in Nazareth."

Due to the vaccination campaign in Israel the country is opening up, the numbers of infected people and critical cases of Covid19 are dropping.  The good challenge of having many students who are interested in our online courses.
