The cable industry is a leader in implementing green programs that save their customers energy and money. In fact, one of cable’s energy efficiency initiatives recently was recognized by Environmental Leader, a daily trade publication covering energy, environmental and sustainability news.

Charter: 11 New Spectrum Stores Now Open In North Texas

#TechnologyTouchdown with Comcast and the Houston Texans Bringing Awareness to Digital Literacy 
Comcast and the Houston Texans recently joined forces, for the second year, to bring a fun and interactive Digital Literacy workshop to families of the Holthouse Boys & Girls Club. This event, which is designed to educate families on the importance and affordability of the internet, demonstrates Comcast’s commitment to empowering and enriching communities with technology. Comcast Exposes Houston Prep Students to S.T.E.M.
Houston PREP, an initiative of the University of Houston Downtown College of Sciences and Technology, is a six-week intensive program for middle and high school students. It exposes the students to industry professionals, showcasing their expertise in STEM fields. While the program’s annual Engineering & Career Day takes place in July, Comcast exposed the (Houston) students in June to an exciting hands-on interactive look into the business. Read more .
Comcast Celebrates Grand Opening of Technology Center 
Comcast recently unveiled its new Technology Center with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony at the brand new location in Missouri City. The 32,000 square-foot facility, which includes a 5,000 square-foot warehouse, will be home to more than 300 technicians, Comcast Business and Xfinity sales professionals who support customers throughout Missouri City and the surrounding areas. Comcast Business Brings Beyond Fast Technology to Nonprofits Partners 
Comcast’s recent “Go Beyond” Lunch & Learn event, held at the Junior League of Houston, introduced nonprofit partners to the new Comcast Business Community Essentials™ program, which connects community partners with a complete communication solution that includes high-speed internet and cloud-based phone service at discounted rates.
