September News & Updates
September is Suicide Prevention & Awareness Month
We all can help prevent suicide simply by being aware, paying attention to warning signs, and reaching out if a friend or family member is in need.

If you or someone you love are feeling depressed about someone you love, there are many ways to reach out for help:
  • The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-TALK (8255)
  • Crisis Text Line: Text TALK to the number 741741
  • Facebook Messenger: m.me/crisistextline

North Texas Giving Day - Early Giving is OPEN!
We need your help.
We request your support as we continue to expand our COVID-19 Hardship Program. This program offers free counseling to individuals or families who have lost employment, lost benefits, been furloughed, or suffered from reduced hours.

This year, we are planning to launch our Greater Access & Partnership Program (GAPP). The GAPP works alongside law enforcement to bridge the gap between individuals needing help and the resources that exist to serve the need. This groundbreaking program will reform the process of crisis management, continue the positive image of local law enforcement, and reduce the cycle of repeated interactions between local police and community members. However, this life-changing program is tentative on receiving funding.
What can you do?
You can donate, create your own FUNdraiser benefiting ACFS, share our page on your social media, challenge your friends to pick us for North Texas Giving Day, and more!
