Healthier Glades is seeking to fund mini grants up to $3,000 for Glades residents and up to $2,500 for nonprofit organizations in the Glades. Information sessions will be held in September 2019. Those interested in applying for mini grant are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Bahamas Celebration Cruise Line will deploy a mission trip to the Bahamas. Licensed physician volunteers are needed. The ship will depart Port of Palm Beach tonight, Thursday, September 5th at 8pm and return Saturday, September 7th.

Palm Beach County Art in Public Places invites student, emerging and professional artists residing throughout Palm Beach County to participate in Outside the Box, a community public art project that transforms up to 36 ordinary traffic signal boxes into vibrant artworks.

Scholarship applications to attend NIIC 2019 are now open through September 13. Each year, to help ensure that the conference is accessible to the broadest possible audience, NIIC provides scholarships to grassroots and community leaders from across the U.S. Priority is given to those who are under represented at NIIC, have never attended in the past, are active in the fields of the immigrant advocacy or services and who would not otherwise be able to attend. The scholarships cover the NIIC registration fees, not travel expenses or lodging.

1. Promoting health and wellness (behavioral and physical)
2. Storytelling - "Changing the Narrative" (e.g. cultural and visual arts, social connectedness, etc.)
3. Developing and nurturing participation channels (e.g. Advocacy (Youth and Adult), Youth Development, etc.)

The first cycle of Tau Grants this year will support outreach for the 2020 Census for organizations, programs, or initiatives working in targeted communities that have historically low rates of participation in the Census. Requests up to $10,000 will be considered. Organizations must have an annual operating budget of $2 million or less to be eligible for a Tau Grant. Allegany invites organizations that are interested in applying to attend a webinar.
