Teams set for start of Super Round
Welcome to this daily summary of the Premier12, giving you the latest and greatest from the WBSC's flagship baseball tournament .

With a repeat of the 2015 Premier12 final between defending champions Korea taking on USA the headline act, the Premier12 Super Round starts on Monday.

The opening game sees world No.4 Chinese Taipei take on Mexico, ranked sixth in the world, in Chiba at 12:00 (local time) before world No. 1 Japan take the stage against world No. 7 Australia at 19:00, also in Chiba.

Also taking place at 19:00 will be the repeat of the 2015 final with Korea, ranked third in the world, playing world No. 2 USA at the Tokyo Dome.

Sunday saw all six teams undertake practice sessions at the Marine Stadium in Chiba before the managers appeared before the media (see photo above) for the pre-Super Round press conference.

In addition to the $1.5m in prize money to the champions, the highest placed teams from the Americas and Asia/Oceania (excluding hosts Japan) will qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Starting pitchers announced, Premier12 Super Round ready to go
Tokyo, Japan – During the pre-tournament press conference managers revealed the pitchers for the opening games: Yang Hyeon-jong and Cody Ponce will duel in Korea-USA. Arturo Reyes and Chiang Shao-Ching will face each other in Mexico-Chinese Taipei. Shun Yamaguchi and Dushan Ruzic will start Japan-Australia.
The Aussie pitcher who beat Japan
Tokyo, Japan – The pitcher that knows how to beat Japan won't be available for Australia tomorrow, as the Super Round of the WBSC Premier12 2019 takes off in Chiba. But he will be in the bullpen to help manager David Nilsson get the right reliever on the mound. 
WBSC Premier12 Super Round schedule announced
Tokyo, Japan - The World Baseball Softball Confederation today announced the 2019 WBSC Premier12 Super Round schedule, which will be played over 12 games from 11-16 November at the Chiba’s ZOZO Marine Stadium and the Tokyo Dome in Japan.
