JULY 10, 2020

Greetings from City Hall -

We are continuing to bump along here in the City, and hope everyone is staying healthy and safe. The pandemic continues to re-define all of our lives, with new necessary adjustments being realized every single day.  Our lives may forever be changed, but regardless, your city employees are here continuing to work hard in keeping this the great community it has always been.

I have a couple of things to mention.  First, Pinellas CARES has expanded their program options.  If you have been financially affected by any part of this pandemic, take a look at the information provided below, and see if you qualify for some assistance.  It could make a big difference for you, and our County has added features to the original program. Give it a look.

Also, it’s National Parks and Rec month…..we hope you all enjoyed receiving our ‘Experience Oldsmar’ magazine, which includes information about all of our parks and recreational offerings.  During this period of limited options for entertainment, why not visit one of our parks?  If you haven’t ever, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.  You should be able to stay safe without too much difficulty, as being outside has been considered one of the better things you can do, health-wise.  Why not take a walk or bike ride on one of our awesome trails?  How about giving Frisbee Golf a try (at Sheffield Park)?

Stay positive. Stay healthy.  Stay with it.  We will get through this.
Have a great weekend.
