Workforce Development: Finding Talent in Today's Hyper-Competitive Labor Shortage

Not only is the population larger, but community is also more equitable. Research finds that Pflugerville's nonwhite population is more educated and better paid relative to the rest of the Austin metro. This is a competitive advantage for Pflugerville , proving that the city is an excellent place for people of color to live and work. Wytheville, VA, is a town with a population of 8,000 that, like many small towns, saw its downtown economy decline as investment in the nearby coal industry declined.
