Guy and Sharon Named 2019 CU Rockstars
Congratulations to Louisiana's own Preston Guy with Neighbors FCU and Jessica Sharon with Pelican State CU who were recently recognized as winners of this year's Credit Union Rock Star awards!

Recognized annually by CUNA's Credit Union Magazine, Credit Union Rock Stars are nominated by their peers and selected by the magazine's editorial board. The winners will be featured in the Fall issue of Credit Union Magazine, sponsored by Fiserv.

Campus Federal Leads Summer Youth Financial Literacy Program
Campus Federal partnered with a local faith-based institution in Baton Rouge during the summer to provide financial literacy for students with summer jobs. This marks the 15th consecutive year Campus Federal has been involved in the Summer Youth Financial Literacy Program led by Blaine Grimes, Financial Education Officer.
 
Participants were each tasked with developing a presentation on what they learned from their summer jobs and the various workshops from professionals in the community. The program concluded with a presentation of certificates for completing the financial literacy course at a closing ceremony for the students and their families, along with church members and community partners.
Pelican State CU Hosts 16th Annual Free Kids Bike Race in Denham Springs
On Saturday, August 17, Pelican State Credit Union hosted their 16th Annual Free Kids Bike Race at Abundant Life Church in Denham Springs. Over 130 kids enjoyed the races and other festivities, including goody bags, door prizes, a bounce house, face painting, fire truck tours, refreshments, and more!
 
Three kids won parties to Airborne Extreme trampoline park. Pelican had over 30 sponsors support this completely free community event, including many of their local Select Employer Groups! We gave out over $2,000 in prizes, refreshments, and goody bags!
