Defense Contractor Aviation & Cyber Recruitment Event
The North Carolina Defense Industry Diversification Initiative (NC DIDI) is hosting a recruiting and outreach event on July 30 from 10:00 - 11:30am at the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance.

With the launch of their newly minted program, the Universal Production Growth Resiliency and Diversification Extension program, this phase of NC DIDI is designed to help North Carolina's defense contractors in the aerospace and aviation supply chain diversify into alternative markets. It also seeks to ensure that the defense supply chain remains robust by aiding companies in better understanding the Department of Defense's newest cybersecurity regulations.
Opportunity Zone Discussion
Temerity Capital Partners and Andy Sandler, the new minor league baseball team owner in Kannapolis and formerly a Washington, DC attorney, are recognized experts of federal Opportunity Zones that were created in the December 2017 Federal Tax Legislation.

Concord and Kannapolis both have designated Opportunity Zones, so we have arranged to have representatives from their organization to conduct a discussion on Opportunity Zones on August 1 from 10:00am - 12:00pm at the Multipurpose Room at the County Governmental Building.

If you would like to join them for this discussion, please RSVP by July 26 by emailing pcastrodale@cabarrus.biz .
Regional Labor Market Survey
We are asking for your participation in a regional labor market survey, specifically related to manufacturing jobs. We are working in partnership with the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance to gather this data in hopes that it will provide valuable insight back to you as you are making staffing decisions. All of this information will remain confidential and the results will be available to you once the data has been analyzed.

The survey will be open until August 1.
