MINI BUFFS CHEER CAMP:
Get in the action this football season by joining the Smoky Hill Cheerleaders on the sideline to cheer on the Buffs Varsity Football team! Fall Spirit Day is Saturday, September 7th and consists of a 2-hour fun, instructional clinic with the SHHS cheerleaders, pre-game meet and greet with the cheerleaders on the field, and your chance to perform during the game and at halftime!
When? Saturday, September 7th (Registration 9:30am, Cheer Clinic 10am-12pm, 5:30pm pre-game warmup and meet-and-greet, 6pm Varsity football vs. Rangeview with performances during 2nd quarter and halftime)
Where? Cheer Clinic @ SHHS, Football game @ Stutler Bowl Stadium
How much? $40 - includes t-shirt, bow, snack, and mini buff admission in to football game. All payments will be taken at registration on the day of the event.
Tshirts and sizes available while supplies last. Pre-register by August 30th to guarantee a t-shirt in your size.

COUNSELING CORNER:
Parents do you know about the Gates Scholarship? This is for current seniors who are of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American. The senior needs to have a cumulative GPA of 3.3-4.0, and in need of financial aid (Pell eligible after FAFSA is filled out). If you have questions about this scholarship please have your student talk to his or her counselor. The deadline is September 15, 2019. Here is aLINKto the website for more information.
Smoky Hill is hosting a mini college fair on September 4th from 1:30 – 2:30pm in front of our lecture center. Here are the Universities that will be visiting our school: Creighton University, Fairfield University, Gonzaga University, John Carroll University, Loyola Marymount University, Loyola University Chicago, Loyola University Maryland, Loyola University New Orleans, Marquette University, Regis University, Rockhurst University, Saint Joseph’s University, Santa Clara University, Seattle University, University of San Francisco, Xavier University. Please encourage your student to stop by and receive information from these Universities.
Parents do you know about our night school option at Endeavor High School to make-up credit for a previous failed class? It is $50 but if your student passes that money is refunded. They are offered Monday and Wednesdays from 4:30-6:30. You can talk to your students counselor about this opportunity. Click here to see classes offered and the process to apply.
