Training
Here at the Caddo Area Council we pride ourselves in making sure that we are here to help you develop the skills you need so that your time as Cub Scout or Boy Scout volunteer is trouble-free, more successful, and more FUN! A trained leader is better prepared to make Scouting all it can be.
Step 1: Youth Protection Training
The Boy Scouts of America places the greatest importance on creating the most secure environment possible for our youth members. Youth Protection training is required for all BSA registered volunteers and must be completed every 2 years.
Step 3: Position-Specific Training
In the BSA Learning Center, select your position and a learning plan will be created for you. The plan includes modules that are designed to allow you to complete them at your own pace.
Leaders who complete Youth Protection Training and Position-Specific Training earn the right to ear the Trained patch on the left sleeve of their uniform, beneath the patch representing the position for they are trained.
