Hello iPride Virtual Academy Families,

Happy final FRIDAY before our school year starts! I hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and the nice weather. Mrs. WAgner, Mrs. Janosek, Mrs. Hudak, and myself enjoyed our time with you during the virtual open houses. It was great to learn something about everyone and introduce you to your classmates. If you missed virtual open house don't worry; your teachers will be in touch to schedule time next week to chat.

I know we are all eager to get started and I also understand that logging in and some other technical difficulties can be frustrating. I have been doing my best to filter through emails, but between iPride Virtual Academy and our Brick-and-Mortar schools, I have been getting close to 100 emails everyday. What I do not get to today, I will finish Saturday morning.

Below is some useful information concerning supplies, contacts, and technology.

Google Classroom:
I have created a Youtube playlist with some short video tutorials for Google Classroom. I will continue to add video tutorials concerning Chromebooks and other tech-related items. You can access the videos here by typing in this address: bit.ly/ipridevirtual or by CLICKING HERE. Below are the links to the Google Classroom for each Virtual School.

Still Need a Device?
Tuesday morning I am going to deliver device to those who still need one. Don't worry, I will deliver all next week (as long as it isn't raining). Please complete this survey (CLICK HERE) if you need a device. If you can't remember if you filled this out last week, it is okay to fill it out again.

Supplies:
I collected the supply boxes from IMS and IPS and will deliver those on Tuesday. If you do not get a box delivered, please contact the school to see if they still have it. The supplies for our Lincoln Online students have not yet arrived. I will deliver those once they show up at the Board Office. For our older students, if you are in an AP course, I am working on getting those textbooks delivered.

Communication:
There are many of us helping your children to find success this semester. Our partners at the Educational Service Center (ESC) have spent the last few years working with students using Lincoln Online and Edgenuity. Their mentorship to our teachers and myself is very valuable and appreciated. Our teachers are going to be shadowing the ESC folks the first few weeks of school to help us learn the best practices for working in an online environment. Below is the contact information for all of the adults working with our students. I also created a group email, just in-case you are not sure who to contact. We will do our part to "Reply-all" so that we are not missing any communications.
