The Wake County Water Quality Laboratory will be closed Thursday, December 23 through Friday, December 31. The last day we can accept or collect well samples is Tuesday, December 21. Well water sampling will resume on Monday, January 3.
If your construction project relies on a private well and the well is ready* now, don’t wait! Put in your wellhead inspection request by calling 919-856-7400. Remember, new homes relying on private wells must pass a wellhead inspection and all required water tests in order to get a Certificate of Occupancy (CO).
*In order for water samples to be collected, the well must (1) have power to the pump, (2) have been disinfected, and (3) have all the chlorine flushed from the system.
