My name is Officer Robert Corson. I am a proud member of the Orlando Police Department and I am honored to be the new School Resource Officer for Innovation Middle School. I have been an officer with OPD for 11 years .During my time with the agency I’ve been blessed to have been involved with various community outreaches, many of which involved our youth. Prior to my time with OPD I served in the US Navy having been stationed out of Pearl Harbor and out of MacDill AFB in Tampa. I deployed several times to Iraq and Afghanistan as well other countries in the Middle East.
My wife and I have 4 children, ages 2-12, the oldest of which is also in middle school. I’m a huge fan of Chicago Cubs baseball, Tennessee Volunteers Football, and an avid fan of all things guitar.
Becoming an SRO has been a goal of mine for several years and there is no other place that I would rather be than here with the students of Innovation. The administration and staff at Innovation are second to none, and it is my goal to assist them and the students in any way I can. The safety and security of your children is my number one priority and it is something that I take very seriously. If I can be of any assistance to you or your children, my door is always open.
I’m looking forward to a great year here at Innovation Middle School
