Dear Central-Denison Families:
Welcome back! Ready or not, the start of the 2019-2020 school year is upon us. June, July and August found us busy with summer tutoring and our Jump Start Summer School program. We hope that your summer was filled with family, friends, and loads of fun and relaxation.
Our custodial staff has once again, done a fantastic job of getting our building ready to start the new year. We look forward to the energy and excitement that our students bring to the building. Our staff has worked countless hours creating an impressive learning environment with exciting and challenging activities for our students.
Our very dedicated teaching staff has been in and out of the building throughout the summer in preparation for our students’ return. We do have quite a few changes to our building staff this year.
·
Mrs. Draper will be manning the office by herself this year as Mrs. Grelyak has moved to Eastview. This move will be a great support to our 4
th grade families who are transitioning to Eastview.
·
Mrs. Jodi Schoolfield and Mrs. A. J. Watson will be bringing experience and enthusiasm to our third grade team.
·
Mrs. Dawn Webster has also joined the CenDen Family. She will be replacing Mrs. McKinney who has moved to Eastview, creating another wonderful support for our 4
th graders transitioning to Eastview.
·
Our 4K team looks a little different this year too. Mrs. Jooss has graduated to join our kindergarten team while Mrs. Garlock, Ms. Meyerhofer, Mrs. Meagan Lawson (formerly Ms. Larsen) and Mrs. Lisa Stanton have brought their energy and talents to join Mrs. Nelson on the 4K team.
·
Finally, we are blessed to be joined by two new special education aides, Mrs. Kathie Swanson and Mrs. Sandy Bays. These very talented ladies are coming to us from Star Center.
We are very excited to have our “Buzzing Bees” three year old preschool in our building this year. Mrs. Leanne Kohlbeck will be the lead teacher for this program. She brings a teaching background, but more importantly, a kind and patient, child-focused heart. She will be supported by Mrs. Brigette Kutschma, who will provide aide support as we watch our program grow. Additionally, Ms. McKenna Gruling will be supporting our youngest learners’ early childhood needs.
Our motto will once again be “Together We Can,” the perfect way to describe what we do and how we live at Central-Denison. We work together…students, families, and staff… to build positive relatinships and provide great opportunities for all. We can make it happen…together. Thank you for sharing your children with us.
