News from Buy Fresh Buy Local Pantry |
|
Lights, Camera, Action!
The Buy Fresh Buy Local Pantry to Plate video series are nearing completion and we want you to be the first to view them. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 4th and be sure to check your inbox for these short videos focused on seasonal produce that is available locally.
Our goal was to focus on multiple low-cost preparations of vegetables using simple techniques with very few ingredients. We aimed to include a mix of preparations (microwave, stovetop, oven, and even no-cook) for those with limited amenities for meal prep. There is no voice-over and text has been intentionally kept to a minimum in order to accommodate those that are not fluent in English and/or with low literacy levels. It's entirely up to you and your organization to use them in a way that works best for you and your clients.
Here are a few ideas for the videos:
- Show the videos in waiting areas
- Post on your website
- Include in electronic newsletters
- Share through social media
