In the Media: Haven Harbour Marina, Haven Harbour South earn national recognition (again)
|
Marinas.com is the world’s most searchable marina directory, providing boaters with comprehensive intel on more than 75,000 marinas, anchorages and marine locations globally. The online entity, which was acquired by Dockwa in 2017, has been serving the marine industry's forays into the digital age since 1995.
Honoring the best of where bow meets berth, the platform gives recognition each year to marinas based on the quality of their Marinas.com profiles, their customer reviews and their overall review averages. To be given a Boaters' Choice award, marinas must receive more than three reviews in the calendar year of the given award, with all reviews in that time equating to an average rating of four stars or higher. To reach the "Elite Fleet" tier, marinas must receive more than 10 reviews in the calendar year leading up to the award's announcement, combined with a profile that yields an average reviewer rating of 4.7 stars or higher.
This year, for two consecutive years, Haven Harbour Marina on Swan Creek and Haven Harbour South on Rock Hall Harbor have been honored with "Elite Fleet" status and a Boaters' Choice Award, respectively. These awards place both Haven Harbour Marina and Haven Harbour South in the top three percent of marinas nationwide, or roughly one in every 25 of the 10,000-plus U.S. marinas listed on Marinas.com.
"There are plenty of surveys and awards out there, but those in which our clients participate are the most meaningful," said Managing Director Charlie Petosa. "We're honored that our clients reviewed both our locations so highly again this year, and we are working hard over the winter months to ensure we not only remain in the top percentile of marinas nationwide, but are perhaps viewed as the best. Marina of the year is our goal, and we look to our clients for feedback on how we can achieve this."
Our rankings this year could not have been made possible without those of our customers who took the time to examine their experiences with us, and provide helpful recommendations to their fellow boaters. We sincerely thank you for your participation and acknowledgment of our efforts.

Recent Happenings: Haven Harbour hosts GRHBA in new event space
|
Wednesday evening, Haven Harbour South hosted – in its new second story event space – the Greater Rock Hall Business Association and their annual holiday mixer. Over 30 representative members from Rock Hall businesses showed to ring in the ending of yet another year of wholesome, homegrown commerce.
For admittance, attendees were asked to bring along an unwrapped gift and/or non-perishable food item for donating to the Rock Hall Seventh-day Adventist Church's ongoing community efforts, and we are very pleased to report that some three dozen items were collected and donated in GRHBA's name.
For more information on having your next gathering or celebration in one of Haven Harbour South's new event spaces, visit us at havenharbour.com/events.

Safety First: New policies come to Haven Harbour's boatyards
|
We value the safety of our employees, customers and guests. With that in mind, new safety procedures are now in effect in the boatyards and facilities of Haven Harbour Marina and Haven Harbour South.
Unoccupied boats through the winter months, both on the hard and in the water, must be disconnected from shore power during non-business hours. Marina staff will be cycling breakers daily for wet-stored vessels. Boats stored with us are not permitted to remain connected to power 24/7 for safety reasons.
In addition to this, and throughout the year, we are mandating that any and all chemical- and oil-soaked rags be, immediately following their use, placed directly into designated red hazmat disposal containers that are located in various areas of our properties. Said rags are never to be air-dried or placed in a standard trash receptacle or dumpster.
With questions regarding these policies, please contact us at (410) 7708-6697 or [email protected].
