Leadership Contra Costa
sm (LCC), the Bay Area's premier countywide leadership program, accepts 28-32 individuals from throughout the county with diverse backgrounds to participate in the program. LCC is geared to people who want to make a difference in the communities in which they live and work.
For more than 30 years Leadership Contra Costasm has been helping identify and prepare community leaders. With an alumni roster of more than 800 graduates, including Mayor of Walnut Creek Cindy Silva, former Mayors Loella Haskew, Justin Wedel, and Kathy Hicks, former Assemblywoman Lynne Leach, former Concord Mayor, Lou Rosas; Martinez Mayor Rob Schroder; and Ret. Superior Court Judge Harlan Grossan, this program has proven to be an asset to the community and society.

The Chamber staff and Walnut Creek Convention and Visitors Bureau welcomes Nicole Hankton as CVB Sales & Marketing Manager. Nicole is a proud Bay Area native with a passion for hospitality and tourism. She enjoys 15 years of experience in marketing, sales, and public relations. In a previous role, Nicole partnered with Visit Oakland to bring a stronger variety of conferences to support the efforts of the sales team at the largest hotel in the city. She has experience with sales tours, media visits, promotions, and targeted marketing specific to the hotel industry. Nicole studied Business Management at the University of Phoenix.

Nicole will work with Scott Slocum, the CVB's Director, towards new business opportunities for the Walnut Creek hotels. The CVB also produces regional/national marketing for Walnut Creek and the Walnut Creek hotels within the travel, tourism, and meetings industries.
