Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program
Residency Preference
The Area Housing Authority of the County of Ventura (AHA) will be accepting applications from November 3, 2020 through November 16, 2020 for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program from very low income households meeting the AHA residency preference (live, work or hired to work in the AHA’s jurisdiction) The AHA serves the cities of Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and the unincorporated areas of Ventura County. Applications from those living and working outside the AHA’s jurisdiction will not be processed.
You do not need to rush to apply. Waiting list placement will be based on the random lottery process and not on a first come first served basis.
Beginning Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 8:00am through Monday, November 16, 2020 at 4:00pm applications will be accepted online. Out of concern for our applicants and our community, we are providing an online portal to submit an application. Access to the online portal will be located at onlineportal.ahacv.org.
An email address is required to submit the online application. Please be sure to have a valid email address BEFORE beginning the application process.

Applicants will be selected by random lottery drawing from all applications received that meet the residency preference. The random lottery will determine the applicant’s placement on the waitlist. Date and time the application is submitted will have no bearing on final order or placement on the waitlist.

La Autoridad de Vivienda del Condado de Ventura (AHA) estará aceptando solicitudes entre el 3 de noviembre del 2020 hasta el 16 de noviembre del 2020 para el programa de vales de la Sección 8 de hogares de bajos recursos cumpliendo con la preferencia residencial de la AHA (vivir, trabajar o contratado para trabajar en la jurisdicción de la AHA. La AHA sirve a las ciudades de Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks y las áreas no incorporadas del Condado de Ventura. Las solicitudes recibidas de aquellos viviendo y trabajando fuera de la jurisdicción de la AHA no serán procesadas.

Por preocupación de nuestros solicitantes y nuestra comunidad, estamos ofreciendo un portal por el internet para entregar su solicitud. El acceso al portal por el internet está ubicado en onlineportal.ahacv.org.
Un correo electrónico es requerido para entregar su solicitud por el internet. Asegúrese de tener un correo electrónico valido ANTES de comenzar el proceso de su solicitud.

Solicitantes serán seleccionados mediante un sorteo de lotería aleatoria de todas las solicitudes que cumplan con la preferencia de residencia.
