Presiding Bishop Curry: Easter 2021 Message
“Our work goes on. Our labor for love continues,” Episcopal Church Presiding Bishop and Primate Michael B. Curry said in his Easter 2021 Message, “We will not cease, and we will not give up until this world reflects less our nightmare and more God's dream where there's plenty good room for all God's children. Hallelujah anyhow.”

Cobweb Cleaning
in the Church
|
Once again, we owe a great debt of thanks to "Fireman Bob" Rey for climbing to nosebleed heights to eradicate the webs from our very industrious spiders!
Holding equipment is Fr. Jim Thomas, holding the ladder is Mike Marcy, and holding the whole endeavor together was Wendy Haber - Thank you to all!
The sanctuary looks wonderful and all survived the perilous work.
Bonus! Mike's wife, Mileva, sent in donuts to fortify the workers. Thanks, Mileva!

(Above)
Thank You to a FABULOUS crew of cleaners - Wendy Haber, Jane Moehrke, Patsy Gralow and Chuy Morales who worked hard dusting, scrubbing, polishing and vacuuming the sanctuary.
(Right)
Marie Lambert works her cleaning magic again for Altar Guild area.
All cabinets and shelving sparkling. Thank you Marie!

Fresh bark in the front spaces of the church. BIG THANKS to Wendy Haber, our Buildings and Grounds Guru, and Chuy Morales, our new custodian! Thanks for your hard work! It makes our property so inviting!

A new memorial bench graces our Labyrinth in the redwoods! Thanks to a community donor, the bench was requested and, after research to match the existing bench (thanks Wendy Haber!), the new bench was purchased. Our hardworking Chuy sanded, stained, and assembled the new bench in readiness for its installation in the Labyrinth.
The donors came by and loved it! They had had a plaque made to identify the memorial and plan to have a blessing done with their family in June.

Buttrum Hall painting renovation is progressing with the closing up of the kitchen pass through window and the St. Barbara's Guild cupboard. New colors are brightening the look and feel of the room and the new flooring, to be installed mid-April, will finish the makeover of our beloved hall.
Big thanks to Fr. Jim and Sally Thomas, and Wendy Haber for ridding the hall of many years of clutter in preparation for the renovation.
Kudos to Sally Zimmerman, for her hard work coordinating and supervising the painting process. We thank you all for your diligence in getting these big jobs done!

O God, heavenly Father, who by thy Son Jesus Christ has promised to all those who seek thy kingdom and its righteousness all things necessary to sustain their life: Send us, we entreat thee, in this time of need, such moderate rain and showers, that we may receive the fruits of the earth, to our comfort and to thy honor; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
