Taking a Deep Dive into our Water Resources

Friends & Neighbors -

We needed and wanted rain and we got it! We had two powerful storms work through the County and the impacts were visible. While we had some road impacts, we received several inches of rain that were deeply needed and filled our reservoirs. Below you’ll see a snapshot of what the positive impacts were from the storms along with additional information about our local water sources.

We still need more rain, but this is a great start!

Current Precipitation Gauge Site
Here’s a closer look at the impacts the recent storms “atmospheric river” had on some local precipitation gauges—dropped nearly 10 inches of rain in some Napa areas. We’re off to a good start!
A Look at the Past
Below is a small sample of yearly precipitation numbers by month. It’s important to know our historical trends and rainfall patterns. We’ll continue to experience dry years and wet years—the important part is we all need to do our part to conserve water and protect our natural resources. It’s a shared responsibility!
