On Tuesday, November 5, Kings Local Schools will seek the passage of a bond issue for school construction and renovation. The passage of this 4.96 mill bond will finance the first part of the District’s master facility plan to address growing enrollment.
Kings Superintendent, Tim Ackermann will be hosting three Community Bond Information Nights in September to give more information and answer any questions our community may have regarding the bond issue.

Our Kindergarten classes joined us at our 3 elementary schools last Friday. It was a beautiful, sunny morning as the kindergartners arrived and were greeted by their smiling teachers.

The students in Mrs. Casseday's class at Columbia Intermediate School started the school year working on math review. They focused on fractions this week and turned their dry erase table into pizza, cake, etc.
The students created a pizza, dividing it into 8 equal parts complete with toppings that the students chose. Then, they determined which fraction of the pizza had cheese, pepperoni, etc. Mrs. Casseday said, "The students LOVED this!"
What a fun and delicious way to learn about fractions! #relatecreateinnovate

PowerPack Program Needs Volunteers

Kings PowerPack Program Looking for Volunteers this Sunday
|
|
The Kings PowerPack Program is designed to meet the needs of hungry children at times when other resources are not available, such as weekends and school vacations. Through a partnership with the Kings Local School District,
Joshua’s Place
is helping to meet this need by providing 225 children with a backpack full of food every Friday during the school year.
This Sunday, August 25 at 12:30 p.m., Joshua's Place is hosting a PowerPack Kickoff where they are looking for volunteers to help washing out bins, getting the van ready for the 2019-2020 school year, and doing a small pack.
They will start with lunch and then get to work.
Meet at Joshua's Place at the South Lebanon Community Center (83 N. Section Street, South Lebanon, OH 45065). This is a great opportunity for students who need community service hours!
Joshua's Place, a community outreach whose mission is to help break the negative cycles of poverty to discreetly provide weekend meals to students in our district. Every Thursday, KHS students pack food to send six self-prepared meals home with those who need it
for the coming weekend.
The PowerPack Program has been benefiting Kings students since 2010.
