Dear Northland Secondary Families,

The 2019-2020 school year is already shaping out to be one of the best in Northland's 45 year history. This is a year of new. We have excellent new classrooms and learning spaces with our counselors in Building 3, administrative offices, NAC and classrooms in Building 1, and a multitude of classes in our new Building 8. If you have read earlier correspondence, the excellent new staff added to our campus community bring a depth of talent, experience and energy to help our children to learn. With the new addition of the elementary students and faculty on our campus we have the opportunity for our students to teach and mentor while they are here.

We are continuing our campus focus on the phrase " Where Excellence is Expected." We are going to pay special attention this school year to our students being excellent in how they treat each other. This focus fits our scripture verse of the year from Ephesians 4:23 to "be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." We believe that we have the right faculty and staff in place, committed parents and families who will partner with us, and a great group of students who will make the most of their experiences at Northland.

I believe that Northland is a special place where students can develop new academic strengths, new friendships, new teams, and a new relationship with our Creator. A place where students are safe to try new things and serve and learn together. A place where our dedicated faculty join with parents to challenge, inspire, and mentor each student through a spirit of love, service and caring.

Thank you again for partnering with the Northland faculty in growing your most valuable investment - your children.

In Him,

Eric Wietstruck
Secondary Principal
