Dracula Movie with Live Organ at The Catlow Oct. 25
See the first version of Dracula that was ever brought to the silver screen, on Friday, Oct. 25 at 8:00 p.m. at The Catlow Movie Theater, 116 W. Main St. in Barrington. CFC Christmas Bird Count Training Session on Oct. 26
Citizens for Conservation will host an information training session for their Christmas Bird Count on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. at the Barrington Village Hall, 200 S. Hough St. Volunteers will be trained to help collect data for the annual international Audubon Christmas Bird Count event to take place on Monday, Dec. 16. Pearle Vision Seeks Donations to Support FREE Eye Clinics
Eye care professionals from Pearle Vision in The Arboretum recently volunteered at clinics in Calumet City to offer low-income families free eye exams and glasses at their school through the company's ABSee/OneSight program. Nearly 300 children were helped during the three-day event and 80% of those children received glasses . Pearle Vision is requesting donations either in-store and online to support future clinics. BACOG to Offer Private Well Water Testing on Nov. 5
The Barrington Area Council of Governments (BACOG) and the Lake County Health Dept. will provide water testing to households with private wells in the Villages of Barrington, Barrington Hills, Deer Park, Lake Barrington, North Barrington, South Barrington and Tower Lakes and the unincorporated areas of Barrington and Cuba Townships. Residents in these areas can purchase a $15 test kit at their village and township offices.
