April is National Safe Digging month!
April is National Safe Digging Month! This month, recognized by CGA stakeholders, reminds diggers the importance of calling 811 before all outdoor digging projects, large or small. Be sure to contact Alabama 811 two (2) full working days, not counting the day of notification before all digging projects. Hitting an underground utility line while digging can cause serious injuries, disrupt service to entire neighborhoods, and potentially result in fines and repair costs.
Current Projects
PROJECTS: We are constantly working on bettering our system and operations for our community. Several projects will be taking place over the next few weeks, and we want to keep you in the know.

**Natural Gas Main Line Replacement Project: Contractors working for Daphne Utilities will begin this project in the Daphmont Community. Work is expected to last a few weeks.

**Sewer line inspections: Contractors working for Daphne Utilities have been conducting sewer line inspections in the Olde Towne Daphne community.

**Annual Hydrant Flushing Program: Crews started flushing in the Lake Forest community and will continue in that community this week.

**Crews have installed a few automatic hydrant flushers to the Olde Towne Daphne Community. This will help the continual flow of water in the area.
Lend a Hand Program

Daphne Utilities and Ecumenical Ministries of Baldwin County have partnered together to help those families who are struggling to pay their utility bills or may need help with utility repairs. When you enroll in the Lend-A-Hand program your monthly utility bill will be rounded to the nearest dollar. Those extra pennies will be used to help your neighbors with their utility bills.

Trash Service

Daphne Utilities is always proud to partner with the City of Daphne! We do know it gets confusing at times what services we each offer. We handle the billing for trash service, the city handles the service and operation of that, along with recycling and stormwater management.
