Meet digital
artist and Hudson native Peter Schnabel and enjoy light refreshments. Schnabel's work will be on display in the Library Community Room though the month of November.
Schnabel
spends much of his free time studying local wildlife, and his work includes pictures of birds and animals from local wildlife sanctuaries and more extensive travels around the world. Hudson residents may recognize some familiar landscapes from Benson Park and other New England sites.

Flu Vaccine Clinic

Visit the library and get your flu vaccine! The cost is $15 for adults and free for children under 18. No one will be turned away due to their inability to pay. A parent or legal guardian must accompany minors under age 18.
This clinic is being presented by the City of Nashua Division of Public Health & Community Services.

Amoskeag: Life and Work in an American Factory City
by Tamara K. Hareven. Join us for a guided tour of the
Manchester Millyard Museum
and a visit to the Lego model of the Amoskeag Mill, the biggest textile mill in the world at the beginning of the 20th Century, at the SEE Science Center. You can participate in the tour, whether you read the book or not. Afterwards we will meet at the library for a discussion of the book.

is an inspiring book about a charming, brave chocolate lab who gradually loses her eyesight. Author Thomas Farmen takes the reader from the initial diagnosis of terminal blindness of his beloved four-year-old pet through the two-and-a-half year transition to sightlessness. In the process, Bessie unwittingly becomes an expert mentor and teacher for the high-wire act of growing old with grace and optimism.
Meet Tom and Bessie and hear their inspirational story! Books will be available for sale and for signing.

It's that time of the year again!
Gingerbread House Contest
|
Highlight your delicious talents and enter our Gingerbread House Contest! The contest is open to all ages; individuals, families, or groups may enter. Prizes will be awarded for Favorite House and Judges' Choice.
Pesky details:
- Drop off houses any time the library is open through December 6.
- Houses can be built out of any material but exterior decoration must be entirely edible.
- Houses must fit on a 24" X 24" platform or smaller.
- All entries will receive an ornament printed on our 3D printer!
There will be a Gingerbread House activity for students in grades 4-12 on December 12, 2:30-6. Students can take their creations home or display them in the contest.
Vote for your favorite house beginning December 7
, when all houses will be displayed in the Children's Room. Happy holidays!
