We can't believe we are already halfway through our Virtual Missions Trip! This is Day 4 of your six-day adventure around the world.

Today we wrap up our visit to the country of Burkina Faso…Tonight is our Zoom call at 6pm PST (see below for Zoom call details) with Alfred. We hope you will join us as we learn about the powerful impact Feeding Nations Through Education is making and how you can get involved!
Burkina Faso
Burkina Faso is not considered a financially wealthy country, and about 80% of its population farms for sustenance alone. Sustenance farming is when farmers use their crops and livestock to ensure their own survival with little to zero surplus. Still, Burkina Faso has crucial exports to the rest of the world that help keep its booming population going: Marble, salt, cotton, and gold!

  • With 10 protected forests, 3 nature reserves, and 4 national parks, Burkina Faso has a deep respect and love for the land.
