Dear St. Louis Families,
Spring is in the air! The time change last week and the warmer temperatures this week have generated a familiar buzz in the hallways and classrooms as both students and teachers anticipate the coming of Easter Break. We have not let off the gas though as there is still much to do before break begins next Thursday after early dismissal. Report cards for the second trimester were sent home Monday and Tuesday for your review and signature. It’s hard to believe, but we are now in the third and final trimester of the school year. Thank you for all of your support from home as we remain focused on strong instruction.
We look forward to a little seasonal fun and some shopping Saturday, March 27th---a huge thank you to Kelly Roman, Katye North, and Cecilia Franceski for their efforts in making the Eggstravaganza and Consignment Sale possible among all the various health mitigations in place. A reminder that there is a one directional flow of pedestrian traffic on campus during the event and gathering limitations in place. Volunteers and student NJHS volunteers will be assisting with the movement and helping to monitor the numbers so we can adhere to the state requirements. We are grateful for your care and mindfulness in helping make this a fun, positive event for our young ones!
Holy Week begins this weekend, and we welcome our Lord into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. We will be reflecting on the Passion and Death of Christ as a school community next Wednesday afternoon at 1:30pm outside around the Bell Tower and again on Thursday at 10:00am, where our 8th graders will re-enact the Stations of the Cross. You are welcome to join us in reflection and prayer through Zoom as we are mindful of the limitations on gatherings. And as we send your children home for Easter Break on Holy Thursday, we will leave in silence and prayer, offering our silence up to Jesus, who suffered and died for us. What a special gift and a way that even our youngest students can offer something up to God. As you discern how you will more fully engage in Holy Week, I pray that you will consider participating in one or all of the church services. I have listed the St. Louis Church schedule below and invite you to bring your child.
Many blessings as you start your weekend!

April is the Month of the Military Child
Send us your pics!
There are 1.2 million military children of active duty members worldwide. As a Purple Star school, we are honored to call these children our friends and classmates at St. Louis. During the month of April, we will be running a special “St. Louis Kids Serve Too” social media campaign that recognizes the military families in our St. Louis School community. If your family would like to participate, please share a photo and the following information:
- Military branch
- Number of places lived (locations optional)
- Number of schools children have attended
- “What makes St. Louis School special for your family?”
- Please let us know if we may use your family’s last name in the post, or if you would prefer to be “anonymous”

Food Drive Ends March 29th

We are currently holding a food drive for the St. Lucy Project. We are asking that you bring in cereal boxes, jelly (NO peanut butter) in plastic containers, and boxes of mac and cheese.
All food that is collected will be going to the St. Lucy Project. We picked to donate this food to the St. Lucy Project to distribute the food to families in need.
The St. Lucy Project is in need of these items the most. This food drive is ending on Monday, March 29. Thank you!
