Caring for Kids
CPI Partners with Churches to Bless Needy Students
Thanks to everyone who responded to our appeal last month for school supplies! Some brought donations of supplies to our warehouse while others generously made financial donations to help our mission outreach. Because of the generosity of so many, Caring Partners was able to deliver almost 500 backpacks into southwest Ohio and rural Kentucky through the distribution efforts of our partner churches.

Not only did each backpack include school supplies, but also personal care products for the whole family to share. Shampoo, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste & Body Wash were included, as well as snacks & bottled water.

Most of the items in each backpack addressed the physical and material needs of each student, but one item in particular addressed the spiritual. Our ministry included a Gospel bracelet in each pack, along with a color pamphlet explaining how to begin a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Please pray with us that these bracelets will bear much fruit which will be harvested by our partner churches!
CPI's Eyeglass Ministry
Bringing the Gift of Sight to Thailand
Thailand Collage
By God's grace, CPI's National Thai Pastor Jay Orata and his wife Rochelle, together with their church, were able to conduct an eyeglass clinic this past week in northern Thailand.

Through the generous donation of numerous Caring Partners' supporters, over 2,000 glasses were shipped from the USA in June, arriving to the church in Thailand on July 4th.

This shipment re-stocked the church's eyeglass inventory, and so the church was able to conduct their first outreach to an Aka Hill Tribe living in a village on the mountain of Wiang Chia, about an hour from the city of Chiang Rai.

Currently, Thailand is closed to all foreign visitors, due to strict regulations regarding the pandemic. In order to conduct the clinic, Pastor Jay and his church leaders met with local Thai government officials, learning of specific guidelines in regards to checking all workers' and patients' temperatures, wearing masks, social distancing, and extensive cleaning and sanitizing. We praise God the government gave the church permission to host the clinic, because much spiritual fruit was produced!

Pee Daa, one of the Thai ladies working in the Clinic of the Soul station where the Gospel is shared, recognized one of her patients. She and the lady had been cell mates in prison together many years ago! What a blessing for Pee Daa to share with the woman how Jesus had forgiven her of all of her sins, and how Pee Daa's life was now transformed through Christ.

Another clinic worker, Rose, was first persuaded to come to Pastor Jay & Rochelle's church in order to attend an eyeglass clinic, as Rose needed glasses. Praise God, after coming to know Jesus and attending church for several months, she is now joyfully serving others through volunteering in the church's eyeglass clinics! Pastor Jay & Rochelle share that Rose's testimony has been a great encouragement and blessing to the church as they witness lasting fruit from their eyeglass mission efforts.

All told, 90 souls made a profession of faith in Jesus through the church's outreach on Wiang Chia mountain - to God be the glory, great things He has done!

"But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him" 1 Cor 2:9
