KDS Attends ASDAR State Conference

During the 123rd Alabama Society DAR Conference in Auburn on March 12-14, that tradition of support certainly showed. This historic conference was held utilizing a hybrid format, with a limited number of members on-site at the conference hotel and the remainder of the attendees participating from home via electronic means.

KDS Welcomes "Darla"
With the help and generosity of three KDS graduates, a new display of the DAR Patriot Spirit can now be found in the KDS DAR Museum. Annette Ledbetter Campbell (Class of 1978) and her sister Carla Ledbetter Tomanovich (Class of 1976) recently donated their cheerleader uniforms to the museum, and Theresa Key McBride (Class of 1974) provided a mannequin to display the outfits. The ladies came to the museum together on March 13th to dress the mannequin that they affectionately named “Darla”.
