We welcome these new members of the body of Christ during our
10:45 a.m. Worship Service this Sunday. Before Owen, Carter & Harper's baptisms, their parents responded to these questions in preparation for the day:
Owen Michael Blanchard & Carter Robert Blanchard
Why are you getting your children baptized?
We want to show Carter & Owen that we are raising them to follow Jesus. We believe that baptism initiates a commitment to continue to nurture our children in the ways taught in the Bible.
Why at St. John's?
It is our family Church and we are members here.
What does baptism mean to you and your family? With the congregation as well as your Baptismal Sponsors?
Baptism means welcoming our children into the Christian faith. It is the first milestone in a lifelong journey of faith.
What kind of support do you hope to get from St. John's? What connection do you want to make at St. John's?
With the help of our sponsors & Church, we will all continue to teach them about God's love through Jesus Christ.
Harper Rose Cole:
Why are you getting your children baptized?
We want Harper to be a child of God and start her life as a Christian.
Why at St. John's?
We are members and want Harper to be too.
What does baptism mean to you and your family? With the congregation as well as your Baptismal Sponsors?
It means that Harper is a child of God and she is promised eternal life.
What kind of support do you hope to get from St. John's? What connection do you want to make at St. John's?
I hope the congregation will help me love and support Harper as she grows physically as well as in her faith.
