New Assistant Dean, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Indigeneity (EDII)
The Faculty of Arts and Science is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Anita Jack-Davies as Assistant Dean, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Indigeneity (EDII) - the first assistant deanship of its kind in the Faculty and at Queen's, and one of only a few similar positions across the country. In this role, Dr. Jack-Davies will provide valuable leadership in EDII including implementing the many EDII priorities contained in the Faculty's Strategic Plan.

To Drop or Not to Drop: Student Services Webinar Today
To Drop or Not to Drop, That is the Question: Assessing your Progress and Making Decisions
Can I drop a class? When do I have to decide? How can I make up missed credits? What implications does dropping have for someone in my situation? If you are feeling overwhelmed with your course load, this session will outline some options and provide you with some answers to help you make these big decisions.
Today (Thursday, October 22 at 6:00 pm EDT), spend an hour with an Arts and Science academic advisor gaining information and tips to help you decide if dropping a class is the right decision for you.

University Holiday - Friday October 30
On Friday, October 30, the Dean's Office and Student Services, and many departmental offices will be closed as the Principal has declared it a university holiday.

Queen's Thrive is a campus-wide initiative designed to promote positive mental health for all students, faculty and staff. Virtual Grad Studies Fair
Thinking of doing a graduate degree? Queen's School of Graduate Studies would like to invite you to peruse the many graduate programs we offer. Take this opportunity to listen to presentations, ask questions, watch videos and chat with faculty, staff and current graduate students. When: October 28th 2020, 11am- 3pm EDT Note: When registering you have the option of registering for a specific faculty (perhaps your main interest) or general. Regardless of which ticket you check, you will have access to all graduate programs within each Faculty and the School of Graduate Studies.

Drop-in Career Advising for Arts & Science Students
If you've got urgent career questions related to your course add/drop decisions - this is for you!
On Monday November 2 between 1:30-3:30 PM meet with a career counsellor with no appointment necessary in these special drop-in sessions on the FAS add/drop deadlines in both semesters.

Contagion Cultures Lecture Series
This series is a Faculty of Arts and Science collaboration which helps to make sense of this pandemic through the expertise and insights of Arts and Science faculty members.
The series is live-streamed on Zoom every Tuesday at 4:00 PM EDT/EST.
