Backpack Drive: We are currently collecting new and gently used backpacks for the kids at the Hillview Learning Center. They will be handed out at their end-of-summer party. You can place them in the missions collection bin in the lobby any time through August 18. Our goal is 120 backpacks. Items due Sunday, August 18.
Men's Skeet Shoot: Men (and boys accompanied by an adult): Darryl DeGood is hosting a skeet shoot at his house on Saturday, August 24, beginning at 9am. BYOG and skeet and shotgun shells. Darryl will provide burgers and hot dogs for lunch along with punch and water. Please bring a snack or a dish to pass. If you have questions, you can call Darryl at 616-340-3369. Saturday, August 24, 9am.
Praise in the Park: Come enjoy Christian music Sunday evenings at the Garden Club Park in downtown Rockford next to the dam. Bring your chairs and your friends! See our website for the lineup. Coupons available to local restaurants. Sundays at 6pm. RRC plays August 25.
North Kent Pastor's Feud: An evening of fun and games to benefit North Kent Connect. Teams of Pastors, Rotarians, Lions and community leaders battle against each other by naming the most popular answers to various survey questions. We have two participants this year – Pastor Tim and Amanda Gerhardt (Cedar Springs Rotary). Please contact Dianne Bennett if you are interested in free tickets. Thursday, October 10, 6pm.
After-Service Socials: Join us in the gym after each service this summer for an opportunity to connect with people in a relaxed atmosphere. Don’t miss this chance to meet, greet, and eat! Snacks may be simple, such as cookies and milk, but each week is a surprise! Sundays.
Monday Night Golf: For $15, you get 9 holes and a cart on one of Michigan’s top courses. Tee times start at 5pm. No reservations are needed. See our website for details. Mondays at 5pm.
Men's Prayer Breakfast: Join us in the Fellowship Hall (Room 100) any time. Fellowship, prayer, devotional, coffee, and maybe donuts! Tuesdays at 7am.
REAL Men: REAL Men is a group that believes God is actively working in our lives, and that we all have a story that He wants us to tell. It is not a Bible study or an accountability group, and it is not exclusive to RRC, so invite others! Each meeting will feature a speaker. Meet at Arnie's Restaurant, 34 S Squires St, downtown Rockford. The restaurant isn't open at that time, so we have the place to ourselves. Coffee and refreshments will be provided. Next meeting TBA
Life Groups: A Life Group is a small group of 8-12 people that focuses on three priorities – sharing, study, and support. Life Group members will commit to meet together at least every other week through the school season—and even better, through the summer. We call these “Life Groups” because they are focused on (1) helping us grow in our life in Christ and (2) sharing life together. If you are interested in joining a life group or starting one up, please contact our Life Group Coordinator, Pam Jacobs .
