Thank you from the Daughters of the King
|
The St. Ruth Byllesby Chapter of the Daughters for the King would like to thank everyone who participated in the First Annual Spring Bra Drive. It was an overwhelming success.
We delivered 135 bras to "Free the Girls" to be shipped to women in Costa Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Mozambique so that they could make a living in the second hand clothing market.
Fifty bras were donated to "ICare," a shelter for women who are being rescued from trafficking in the Augusta area.
The DoK plans to do this
service project every year from St. Patrick's Day until Mother's Day. We will also add a New Panties Drive to provide underwear to all local Women's Shelters and Children's
Shelters that house adolescents in the Augusta Area. Once again, thanks so much for your support.
Thanks,
Suzanne |

A Prayer for the Election of a Bishop
Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose a bishop for this Diocese, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for your people and equip us for our ministries; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
