Three-Year I-70 Bridges Work to Begin in February
Orange barrels will be a part of the Interstate 70 landscape through Wheeling for three years, beginning in February.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that construction employment in July was relatively flat compared to June, with small gains in some sectors. Construction employment rose an unadjusted 0.1% adding some 4,000 jobs,  off from larger gains in June . Year-over-year construction employment for July is up by roughly 2.8% in seasonally adjusted measurements. Read More

The James C. Dawes Co. was founded in 1941 by James C. Dawes after he worked for Linde Division of Union Carbide Corporation in Pittsburgh, PA. During the late 1930's, Linde wanted to set up a distributorship in the Ohio Valley and Dawes decided to open a store in Martins Ferry, Ohio. James W. Dawes took over the business in 1963 after his father passed away. Brian C. Dawes took over the company in 1977, just six months after graduating from the Hobart Institute. 
James C. Dawes Co. is proud to be the only independent and locally owned welding supply business in the Ohio Valley. Our mission is to provide quality products at a competitive price, exceed customer expectations and meet delivery times to insure prompt service.
