(4) Faculty Workshop: Designing Learning for All – Wednesday, February 12 (Faculty)
From Joyce LaTulippe, Office of the Provost
Join us for a discussion and demonstration of how to develop a universally designed lesson and course on Wednesday, February 12, 11:00 a.m.–Noon in Building 34, Room 228. The Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework for curriculum design fosters an inclusive learning environment by minimizing barriers to learning. More than a prescribed set of steps and procedures; UDL is a mindset that will help you to optimize the learning experience by supporting the needs of diverse students. A universally designed course integrates multiple means of representation (how content is delivered), action and expression (how students demonstrate their knowledge), and engagement (how students participate). Bring your lesson or course idea to this interactive session.
Register.
