Job Fair Huge Success
Older Adult Job Fair in the War Memorial's Green Room was a big success.
Mayor London Breed and a host of potential employers and resource agencies were on hand to great almost 500 older job seekers. Over 110 job interviews were hosted on-site.
The event was sponsored by the Office of Economic and Workforce Development in partnership with the Dignity Fund Coalition, Felton Institute, SF Department of Aging & Adult Services, HSA Jobs Now and a network of other organizations. View pictures and more info here.

Registration Now Open for Masterplan Event
Friday, September 20th
1:30 to 3:30.
Doors open at Noon with information & resources of interest to all. The event will be at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero - Main Floor Ballroom.

Getting There Together Event Sept. 8, 11 to 4
Be part of a celebration of all ages and abilities!
The inaugural Getting There Together event is a signature citywide celebration of San Francisco seniors and adults with disabilities. Presented by CASE (Coalition of Agencies Serving the Elderly) in partnership with Livable City/Sunday Streets, the Department of Aging and Adult Services, Age and Disability Friendly San Francisco, and the Dignity Fund Coalition, the event will bring together seniors, people with disabilities, service providers, City officials, and the general public to celebrate and ensure San Francisco is a great place to live and age.

Sidewalk Search Party Won't Be Stopped
There has been some progress on the list of sidewalk problems on the block between the
CLC Office and the Market/South Van Ness transit hub. But one participant in the group got mired in soft asphalt on the way from the meeting and it required a kind passer-by and a nearby construction worker to help get him out. We keep learning more from guests from MTA and the 311 Office.

Local Housing Subsidy At Work
Casa Adelante is the first senior housing site to benefit from the new local housing subsidy. Finally, truly affordable housing! Learn more on the
city housing portal, DAHLIA. Now we have to work to pass the $600 million housing bond issue headed to the voters in November with dedicated funding for senior housing.
A 2/3 vote of support is needed, so join the next Dignity Fund Coalition Meeting to sign up to help.

Join At Home with Growing Older (AHWGO) their first forum of the season!
