Come Learn More About Our School

This year Guardian Angels School will offer two Open House opportunities for families interested in learning more about our school.

A Preschool Open House will be held Monday, January 10th from 5:00-7:00pm. This event is specifically for anyone considering enrolling their child(ren) in the preschool and/or pre-k program for the 2022-2023 school year. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP through the link below.

An Open House for K-8 will be held Sunday, January 30th from 1:00-3:00pm. This Open House is specifically for anyone considering enrolling their child(ren) in kindergarten through eighth grade for the 2022-2023 school year. This event is a great way to meet current families, talk with teachers in their classrooms, and get a feel for the community you will find here. Please RSVP through the link below.

A flyer is attached if you would like to share it with anyone who is interested in learning more about Guardian Angels School.

Pre-registration is not mandatory for either of these events. However, guests do register at the door so this will speed up the process once you arrive at our Open House. Current GA school families do not need to register in advance.
Catholic Schools Week is January 30 - February 4

The theme of Catholic Schools Week 2022 is Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service. As a thriving Catholic school, we strive to provide the best educational instruction and religious formation for your family. Catholic Schools Week is a wonderful time to thank God for the many blessings He gives us as well as show our gratitude to families who have chosen Guardian Angels! We also thank the parish for supporting our school through your donations and prayers.

Our Open House will take place Sunday, January 30. All are welcome to join the faculty and staff for noon Mass. After Mass, join us for an Art Show presented by our artisits in kindergarten through 5th grade and our GA Expo. Both will take place in the undercroft.

Please stop by the Religious Education table at the GA Open House. We will have information about Bible Camp, Camp GAudeo, our youth ministry program, and the Vocation Awareness Ministry. We will also offer a free raffle of religious books for all ages!
Confirmation Retreat for 7th Graders

The 7th grade students of Guardian Angels Parish will be treated to a Confirmation retreat on Sunday, January 23. The retreat will begin with 10:00am Mass and is followed by a high energy experience by NET ministries, all on GA's campus. Please pray for our 7th graders as they continue their preparations for Confirmation next fall.
Giving Tuesday Update

We have received a handful of offline donations since our Giving Tuesday campaign wrapped up - bringing our total to $68,594 raised from 218 donors.

Thank you to everyone who supported our campaign to continue Funding Future Angels!
Volunteers & Safe Parish

Employees and volunteers in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati must stay current with interactive video-based SafeParish™ quarterly bulletins to remain in compliance with the requirements of the Decree on Child Protection. Non-compliance will result in a SafeParish™ account non-approval and non-compliant employees and volunteers will no longer be permitted to work with youth or vulnerable adults until compliance is reestablished.

There is no charge for setting up a SafeParish™ volunteer account, and Guardian Angels can provide you a Token (code) to cover the cost of your background check through Selection.com. To obtain that information, email Bradley Barnes or call him at (513) 624-3148.
Support a Student at the March for Life (January 19-22)

The Guardian Angels Youth Group, in conjunction with other groups from our archdiocese, will be traveling to the March for Life in Washington D.C. on January 19th - 22nd. The trip will be a time of pilgrimage and retreat, with prayers and Masses said throughout the trip. Please consider if you could support a student as they make a stand for a Culture of Life from conception to natural death through a full or partial scholarship. New Ministry to Couples Experiencing Infertility - The Companions of St Gerard

If you or someone you know is experiencing primary or secondary infertility, the Advent and Christmas seasons can be difficult. Guardian Angels Parish is now host to a ministry called The Companions of St. Gerard, offering support and community to those dealing with fertility issues. This ministry is for those who:
  • Are experiencing infertility issues of any kind
  • Are interested in or are discerning adoption or foster care
  • Have questions about the Church's teachings on fertility issues and treatments
  • Want to know how to support loved ones who are carrying the cross of infertility
  • Seek accompaniment in finding the spiritual fruit that God has in store for their marriage

Beginning on January 8th, the Companions of St. Gerard will host a monthly brunch following daily Mass in Room B, geared toward those couples seeking support and community.

The Companions of St. Gerard are led by Meghan and Bradley Barnes. They can be reached at any time by emailing stgerardcompanions@gmail.com for prayers, assistance, or questions. We invite you to read their testimony and to share this informational flyer with anyone you might now who would benefit from this ministry.
Fathers Team

Fathers of our Guardian Angels family: you are invited to join us each Friday at 6:05am in Conference Room B (next to the undercroft) as part of our Fathers Team. Each week during the school year, we meet early on Friday for one hour to discuss a topic that is meaningful for dads.

Upcoming topics include:
January 7: Surrendering Control of Our Lives to God
January 14: Stages of Marriage
January 21: Asking the Holy Spirit to Direct Our Lives
January 28: Raising Our Children in the Church

No preparation is required. Just show up and join in the conversation...or just observe. You'll walk away more informed on this "dad topic" and be better equipped from the discussion to execute your most important role, that of being a good father. Come solo, or better yet, bring a friend! Again, mark your calendars to join us this Friday in person or optionally join via Zoom. Contact us at GAfathersteam@gmail.com for the zoom information, or to get on the GA Fathers Team email distribution.

Save the Date: Camp GAudeo is June 27 - July 1

It's a new year, so we’re hoping that you can mark your family’s calendar for our 8th annual middle school camp called “Camp GAudeo.” Camp is always an incredible time of gathering the youth of our parish, and we’re so excited to see what God has in store for June 27th - July 1st. Registrations will open in late January, but we are hoping that families can mark their calendars now and fit this week of ministry for current 5th-8th grade students into their future planning. Email Bradley Barnes for more information.

We are currently looking for high school students who are interested in volunteering for this event. We are typically able to offer 50+ hours of community service credit, and high school counselors participate in all activities for free! Register a current high school student through this Volunteer Application Form
