  Kol Ramah, Week 7
Shiur - Interactive Jewish Learning!
Shiur, our unique, interactive, Jewish education program allows chanichim to experience our history, traditions, holidays, and Israel through performance arts, hands-on games, and crafts. This summer, our younger chanichim focused on kindness, gratitude, and cooperation, and also explored the history, culture, and geography of Israel. Our older chanichim chose from a variety of Shiur bechirot (electives) allowing them to customize their experience. They chose from established favorites - fusing Jewish learning with building and engineering, and expressing our Jewish values through art - and new additions to our bechira offerings, including publishing a zine (a self-published, special interest, small-circulation magazine) about strong, Jewish women. Our shiur experience has something for everyone.

General Camp News
Ramah Fine Arts
Ramah Fine Arts campers channeled their inner creativity while delving into various materials, techniques, artists, and concepts. They explored how Judaism is woven through the work of prolific artists Marc Chagall, Yaakov Agam, and Marc Di Suvero. Drawing inspiration from the artists' work, campers expressed their own interpretations of patterns in Jewish life and ritual while working with complementary colors, gradation techniques, watercolors and pastels, basic clay building, portrait and gesture drawing, and studio drawing skills. We look forward to seeing you in Kayitz 2020 when we will build upon the skills learned this summer, while providing a strong introduction to first-time Ramah Fine Arts campers.
