PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Greetings NTMCA Members!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous summer! Whether you are traveling for vacation or having a stay-cation, I hope everyone can find some time to relax and rejuvenate. As we celebrate our nation’s Independence Day, remember those that have fought or continue to fight for our freedoms.
AWARDS LUNCHEON
Our annual Awards Luncheon was a great success. Many thanks to Alicia Richardson, Traci Henderson, and Lisandra Leal for all the time they took planning and hosting the event. The Grand Hall at NRH Centre continues to be a perfect place to host an awards luncheon. The round tables were set beautifully with glowing vases as the centerpieces. The food tasted delicious and the door prizes made the event even more fun.

  • How long have you been in your position? I have been in my position for 6 ½ years.

  • How long have you been in your profession? I have been educating current and future government officials for 11 years.

  • What other positions/jobs have you held? Prior to my position with TMCA, I was a lecturer for the Department of Public Administration at the University of North Texas while I pursued my Ph.D. Before moving to Texas I was the Assistant Director for Housing at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia. Prior to that I was a recruiter for the University of Arkansas.

  • What is your greatest professional accomplishment? It would certainly be completing my Ph.D. There were several times I wanted to give up but I didn’t and now I’m so glad.
