Meeting called to order by President-Elect Lindsey Lenhart.  Total attendance: 21. Members-19 and 2 guests. Todd Adams won the 50/50 today. Susan Hornung is having back surgery so please keep her in your thoughts. 

President Rachel had a note from Ian and Nancy Nelson who are doing well and headed on a trip to Europe starting in Vienna, traveling on a river cruise and ending in Amsterdam. 

We received nice thank you cards from Liz Ross and family and Miss CC from Creative Arts Charitable Foundation. We also received a letter from Children's Advocacy Center for the school supplies.

Interclub update:  Steve Hess, chair. 
Sign up by email or at a meeting if you are interested in attending. If we visit this last club by September 30th we will have visited with every Kiwanis Club in our Division this year!
Let's make this happen!  Sanibel -Meeting is 1st or 4th Tuesday. 7am breakfast, 8am meeting at the Dunes. Date options;  Aug 27, Sept 3, Sept 24. Carpooling available.

MS Support Group - (Bill Grant), meets 3rd Thursday of each month at St. Hilary Episcopal Church. Please consider attending a meeting and learn about this project so we'll have more 
back up volunteers.  We need volunteers for the next one August 15th. 


Literacy Buddy Sign up: 
Calling all "buddies." It's time to sign up if you want to participate again this year. You will be paired with a child (age 4-5). Three times a year you will get a cute letter from your child and a few notes from his/her teacher describing the type of book they would like to have. You purchase the book and it goes to your child.         Today's Program: Human Trafficking Awareness Partnerships
                     
Our speaker today was Lauren McCraney, executive director of HTAP.  W ith her was Savanna Martensen. 
HTAP is SW Florida's Human Trafficking Prevention Educator. 
Programs reach youth, professionals, and the community. ARTREACH is an    interactive creative arts program developed by Human Trafficking Awareness Partnerships designed to instill a sense of awareness about human trafficking in our community's boys and girls and to empower them to become peer spokespersons. Adult programs include "Point of Contact/Point of Rescue." This is designed for medical personnel and the hospitality industry, mall security and librarians to recognize possible victims of human trafficking who may come under their care or into their establishments.  To learn more call 239-415-2635 or visit  http://humantraffickingawareness.org/   Pictured above L-R are Savanna, Lindsey and Lauren.
